The University of Zagreb maintains bilateral contacts with foreign universities within the framework of coordinated and signed bilateral agreements. These bilateral agreements are essentially equivalent and cover the following forms of cooperation:

• work on mutually agreed topics, 

• exchange of teaching staff, 

• student exchanges, 

• joint publication, 

• exchange information of mutual interest and other activities aimed at promoting academic cooperation.
